There's more to Murray’s bagels than a crispy outside, a fresh, chewy inside and a tasty, tangy schmear. And no, that doesn’t just refer to a smooth slice of Nova (although they only serve the freshest available)!
Murray’s is different because Murray’s has got soul. Murray's Bagels Chelsea isn't just another bagel shop—it's a family vision.

Proprietor Matt Pomerantz always wanted to bring a piece of his old-fashioned, Brooklyn heritage to Manhattan, and he succeeded with Murray's Bagels, named after his father.
Every one of Murray’s bagels is made the old-fashioned way: hand-rolled, kettle-boiled and baked to perfection on the premises. And THEY DON’T TOAST. Why not? Because a truly fresh bagel doesn't need toasting to make it more delicious. Why make a fresh bagel that's crispy on the outside crispy on the inside?
Visit Murray’s soon and they’ll be happy to see you.

They would get 5 stars if they delivered quicker. Still waiting for my food I ordered an hour and 50 minutes ago. Hire more delivery people if you are that busy

Best bagels & coffee , delivery can sometimes be a little long due to them being so popular but worth the wait.

GREAT FOOD LONG WAITE

Worst delivery service ever experienced in NYC. Usually takes at least an hour...and most times 2 times as long as their estimates... for bagels?????

Will never order from Murray's through seamless again. Even though the alloted time said 55 - 70 min for delivery, it took 90 minutes. Cannot understand how a bagel sandwich and coffee could take so long.

Like almost everyone else, on Seamless, I agree with the consensus. Murray's bagels are among the best in New York, but the wait for delivery is intolerable. You have to assume the owners place emphasis on in-store orders, making delivery a second-thought. Business must be good enough to lose delivery orders.

Food is okay. Delivery is amongst the worse in NYC. I've waited almost 2 hours numerous times for delivery. Won't be ordering from here again

Very good bagels. That being said, their slow promised delivery and even slower actual delivery nearly offset the experience.

I love Murray's....but not for delivery. Submitted my order to find that it was not going to be delivered for 55-75 minutes! I ended up cancelling...

I would love to rate the food but I still haven't received it almost 2 hours later. I called to see when it would be coming, "any second" was 30 mins ago.

Murrays Bagels has excellent bagels, but it's been over 2 hours and I havent received my food yet. I called an hour ago - they said it was leaving the store and ready to go. I will never order delivery from Murrays again.

The best bagel sandwiches, hands down. I get Murray's religously every weekend!

WHY DOESN'T MANAGEMENT LOOK AT THESE REVIEWS? The food is great but everyone, including me, says that the delivery time and service are horrendous!!! You'd think that management would make a change or address the issues. I've ordered twice from here and have waited almost two hours each time. When I call to ask about the status of my order, the person answering the phones is totally rude. It's gotten to the point that I have started going to Brooklyn Bagelson 8th Ave (which is also very good) instead. Prompt delivery and friendly employees. Unless Murray's improves its delivery and service, I'm going elsewhere and I suggest you all do too.

We ordered delivery and they could not understand the order we made directly from their menu on seamless (it was only a salad which makes me wonder who they are actually hiring to work there). I called and explained that when I order a create your own salad with a side of egg salad I expected...wait for it....SALAD. The person working there actually said he did not understand what create your own salad meant. It then took over a half hour for them to get it 2 blocks away.

I will never get delivery from these guys again. My food didn't show after more than an hour. When I call to inquire why, the man was RUDE!! Claimed the guy came, but obviously he didn't go the right place and didn't bother to call. I get deliveries from Seamless Web everyday and have never had a problem with any other restaurant. And then he refused to re-send the delivery while berating me and being just awful. Seamless, please add Brooklyn Bagel or another bagel shop to your Chelsea deliveries.

It has been over 2 hours since I have ordered, I called the restaurant to see what the problem was an hour ago and they said it was on its way.... 3 stars not worth the wait.

The bagels are good, but they manage to screw up most orders in really odd ways.

The bagels are excellent, most everything else is okay. Just know there is very high likelihood they will get the order wrong. It happens almost every time we order. Something is always incorrect. Wrong bagel, wrong cream cheese, lettuce, tomato . . . something is always left out, included or otherwise wrong. Once it's delivered, it's tough to send it back

Disorganized and occasionally rude, sure - the bagels are still delicious.

I love the bagels at Murray's Bagels or I wouldn't tolerate the shoddy service. I waited over an hour for my order to be delivered, and when it arrived it was not correct, MOSTLY correct, but not completely correct. Thankfully the wrong item they sent was the smallest part of the order, but I still feel cheated that I paid $3 for something I didn't ask for...AND I had to wait over an hour for it to arrive.

Food is great but be very specific about your order as they sometimes get things wrong (like what kind of bagels you ant, how many, etc.).

Phone orders are a total hassle. If possible never order over the phone. The people who answer the phone are total idiots, can't get the order wrong and appear to be either illiterate or just plain stupid. Wonderful food, terrible customer service.

Delivery time is longer than estimated, but bagels are worth it.

I live 3 street blocks away (not avenues) and it routinely takes over an hour to get one bagel with cream cheese. I've called them about this and they just don't care.

Delivery time was TERRIBLE. Took over an hour and a half when the original estimate on time was 25-40 minutes.

love murrays....but they keep messing up the orders

They consistently make errors with delivery orders, sometimes delivering two hours after the order was placed.
